Dear Fan Club Members,

I hope that everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and didn’t eat too much! We had an unexpected Thanksgiving in our home. While I was drinking my morning coffee and enjoying the newspaper, I noticed out my window the neighbors’ three German shepherd dogs in the backyard fighting. I quickly threw on my coat and ran outside. My neighbor was hysterical. I then noticed what the dogs were fighting over. It was their 12-pound turkey.

The dogs had eaten the entire turkey and made a complete mess of the kitchen. It was like a scene out of a movie. I told my neighbor that everything would be all right, but I knew deep down that she was upset. I invited her and her family to join us for Thanksgiving. She said no at first, but after a little convincing she agreed. As we sat down for dinner, I looked around the table and felt such joy seeing everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. Although my neighbor went through a crisis on Thanksgiving, we all came together to have a great time. We must all remember that the holiday season is more about spending time with loved ones and helping those in need then the gifts that we want to receive.

As the year winds down, and the New Year approaches. Take some time to reflect on this past year and think about the good and bad and what you want to improve or change and what you want to continue to do right. Enjoy the holidays. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Keep smiling,

December Recipe (Chocolate-Rum Buns)
RECIPE INGREDIENTS

For Buns:

Basic Sweet Dough

3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

1/2 cup granulated sugar

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate pieces

For Icing:

1 tablespoon dark rum

1 cup sifted powdered sugar

2-3 teaspoons half and half or light cream

RECIPE METHOD

FOR BUNS: Prepare basic sweet roll dough and let rise once. Punch dough down. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide dough in half. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Roll each half into a 12x8-inch rectangle. Brush with melted butter or margarine. In a small mixing bowl stir together granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon; sprinkle onto dough. Sprinkle with chocolate pieces.

Roll up each rectangle, jelly-roll style, starting from one of the long sides. Pinch seams to seal. Cut each roll into 10 to 12 slices. Place slices, cut-side down, in single layers in two greased 9x12-inch round cake pans. Cover and let rise in a warm place till nearly double (about 30 minutes). (Or, cover with oiled waxed paper, then with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours.)

If dough is chilled, let stand, covered, for 20 minutes at room temperature. Puncture any surface bubbles with a greased wooden toothpick. Bake in a preheated 375 degrees F oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or till golden brown. Cool rolls slightly in pans. Transfer to a large platter.

FOR ICING: In a small mixing bowl combine rum, powdered sugar, and enough half-and-half or light cream to make a smooth icing of drizzling consistency. Drizzle icing onto rolls.

Kit-Cat Moment – I came home from walking my dogs and noticed that my Kit-Cat clock was not working. I was in shock because I’ve had the same batteries in this clock for five years. The clock is not the same when it’s not moving the eyes and tail. Once I changed the batteries the clock was back to normal with life. I have had this clock for ten years now, and have only replaced the batteries once. Thanks for making such a great product!!!

I am so excited to get this clock for my mother in-law,
she told me once that her aunt had a Kit-Cat clock and she always loved it.

Amber- Salt Lake City, UT

I had one of these clocks so many years ago, and someone came in my house and took it off the wall. Never found out who it was. When I saw these, I just had to have another one. Thank you so much. I can’t wait till I get it now.
Thank you, and have a nice day.

Christina - Hernando, FL

Thank you thank you thank you! I am glad to see that
there are still some products out there that are made with the same quality as those made so many years ago!

Brian - Mountain View, CA

This clock takes me back 40+years. Although we lost our
Dad more than 25 years ago, I can now vividly hear him say, (in hope of imitating the clock's movement) "Can you move your eyes this way and your tongue that way?!" I ordered one for each of my siblings as a Christmas gift. Thanks for bringing a childhood memory back to my family for (hopefully!) many more years!

Christine - Chicago, IL

I am old enough to recall having the original Kit-Cat clock hanging in my parent’s kitchen. Now that I have found you, simply by chance I too can bring back wonderful memories. As a child we had the black clock of course, but since red is my favorite color, how could I resist. Thanks for still making them.

Paula - Falls Church, VA

I am so happy with my red Kit-Cat Clock and the joyful memories it has brought me. I simply had to have a white one to hang in my living room.
Can’t wait to receive my clock.

I wouldn't be without a Kit-Cat!

Bonnie - Durango, CO

Growing up in the late 50's, I remember my grandmother had a Kit-Cat clock in her kitchen. I was fascinated by the
movement of its tail. Getting one for myself after all
these years will rekindle happy memories of going to grandmas!

Doreen - Staten Island, NY

Hi,
Got excited tonight to see the Kit-Cat Clock as an editor's pick in October's issue of the Country Living Magazine. My parents have one and I've also loved it. We Just lost our beloved female black cat of 14 years
and putting all the above together I thought, I'm going to get one. So, credit card in hand I was browsing...happy to see you had a Lady Kit-Cat,
but sad to see that you don't have a black one. Anyway, just thought I'd share. Let me know if there is any solution!

Sue

I just got my first black Kit-Cat last month for the
kitchen, and I'm already back for a second one for the
craft room. This is such a fine American product that
brings back so many memories. Truly cheerful!

Kathryn - Mercer Island, WA

I just got my new kit-cat clock!
So fun!
My sister thinks it's creepy, I say it's friendlier than those plastic Barbie’s with glow in the dark eyeliner....
Thanks,

Patrick

I have one of your clocks for over 25 yrs. and can’t
imagine anything else in my kitchen to tell time by....Now
this is the first time I am venturing from the original
black and white!!!!!

Marybeth - Wenham, MA

I love my Kit-Cat Clock however for many years the eyes
don't stay moving. I thought it was the wall of my condo,
however I found on a website that I am missing a J-clip.
Thanks so much for helping!

Leslie - Annandale, VA

I've had a Kit-Cat wagging his tail and rolling his eyes
in my kitchen for many years, he needs a companion.

Henry - Greenville, NC

I bought a clock from a thrift store and I might just be
addicted to them now!!!!!! Our 2 year old daughter laughs
whenever she sees it!!!!! Already thinking about buying
some for Christmas gifts!
