My classic B&W Kit Kat is in my office; I teach English
for Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS.
Our college was hard hit by Katrina, and almost all our
staff and our students were affected greatly too. We no
longer have a gymansium, a campus vehicle repair
facility, an auditorium, and now we are being told by
environmental officials that at least 1 of our dorms is
so badly affected by black mold that it too must be
destroyed. We are still in settlement negotiations with
the insurance company. Many of us had severe home and
church damage; some of my student's homes were "slabbed"
(taken to the concrete foundation of the home). Our
satellite campus in Waveland had been open a week - it
received 5 and 1/2 feet of rushing water. As if Katrina
weren't enough, our state National Guard units have been
cycling in and out of Iraq. Sometimes it seems that
EVERYONE is experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
The clock, a present from my daughter, now proudly hangs
on the most visible wall of my office. I had a request
from 2 of my students to relocate it so that they could
see from the window on my office door. Evidently many,
many students come by to check the time, to show their
friends and relatives, and simply just to look at it.
Age doesn't seem to matter - the older students love it,
and the younger ones are simply delighted by it.
Thank you for creating much needed smiles for our
campus.

Dear Kit-Cat,
After 15 years my Kit-Cat clock's animation stopped and
as you might imagine, it was a trauma to all who
witnessed it! Thankfully I found your web site and
trouble-shooting instructions. I was able to get the
tail
moving once again and isolate the trouble to the j-clips
so I have ordered parts. The disengaged eyes rolled
inward and have a cross-eyed look....very
entertaining for now even though they don't move.
Thank you for making replacement parts so readily
available and for your trouble-shooting instructions.
They were easy to understand and follow,
both the step-by-step guidance and the explanations as
to how the mechanism works. I have new appreciation for
this clever little clock.
Thanks again, Ingrid
Soon, this area will be filled with inspirational
stories that will lift you up and move you to do the
things you need to do to live a more fulfilling and fun
filled life.
But these won't be just any old stories. These will be
your stories!
Your story can be about yourself or someone else you
know, or it can be one you read somewhere else that
touched you in so many ways. As long as it is one of
hope, encouragement and that will bring a smile to your
heart it will be considered.
So what's your incentive to submit your chronicle of
encouragement? Tales of inspiration should always be
shared. If your story can motivate just one person to
