Dear Fan Club Members,

It is finally here, Spring. The leaves and flowers are almost in full bloom, and the lawn mowers are buzzing away. This is also the time of year when bird’s comeback from their winter vacation and make music in the air. I am sure a lot of you have starting your spring cleaning. Yes, it’s that time of year again when we get to clean away and make room for more things, or just a simple cleaning.

My daughter and I were enjoying the nice warm temperatures again. So we decided to take a nice walk on our local bike path. During our walk we stopped by the local park so she could play. As my daughter was playing, I noticed a large group of people walking in the woods. So we walked over to the group to see what was going on. The woman we approached let us know it was a local group in the community doing spring cleanup in the local parks. I thought, wow, this is really a great thing that they are doing. So we decided to become volunteers and help. I thought at first that my daughter would only work for about two minutes, but she was having so much fun with the other kids. After we were finished we felt like we really accomplished something. Most of us think spring cleaning is inside of our house, or outside in our back yard, but really it is places like our local parks that need cleaning. So if you feel motivated and have some time off; get a group of friends together and head down to your local park. You can’t imagine what a difference it makes and you’re not just cleaning but spending time with your friends and loved ones.

Keep Smiling,

May Recipe (Peanut Butter Cookie Cupcakes)
Serving: Makes about 2 1/2 dozen
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/3 cups sugar
2/3 cup natural, creamy peanut butter
3 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
12 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, plus more for decorating
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line 3 standard 12-cup muffin tins with paper liners.
Make the cupcakes: Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl. Put butter and sugar into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; mix on medium speed until pale and fluffy. Reduce speed to low. Mix in peanut butter. Mix in eggs, 1 at a time, and vanilla. Add flour mixture; mix until combined. Mix in sour cream.
Spoon scant 3 tablespoons batter into each muffin cup. Bake until pale golden and a cake tester inserted into centers comes out clean, about 13 minutes. Transfer to wire racks; let cool completely.
Make the frosting: Put cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, and butter into the clean bowl of a mixer fitted with the clean paddle attachment; mix on medium- high speed until pale and fluffy. Stir in peanut butter with a rubber spatula.
Spread 1 1/2 tablespoons frosting onto each cupcake. Refrigerate until frosting is firm, about 10 minutes. Using tines of a fork dipped in confectioners’ sugar, score each top in a crosshatch pattern. Cupcakes can be refrigerated in single layers in airtight containers up to 2 days.

Kit-Cat(s) – Classic Black

Kit-Cat Moment – About a year ago, I had a minor house fire and I lost some very special things. One of the special items I lost was my first Kit-Cat clock that I bought back in 1957. My two grandchildren knowing how much my clock meant to me gave me one just like it for Christmas. Of course, my other one was electric and had some wear and tear like me, but the new one is just as special and is up on my wall and watching over me.

Hello,
A little message from France : I'm a happy new friend of a Kit-cat-Klock and I want to thank you for all the informations you put on your website ,'cause at first time , the clock sadly didn't want to work , and after a very short look on your site ,I found the information I need in 5 minutes : JUST GREAT !!!!congratulations !!!
Many thanks ,
Bye, Tiphaine

You printed my story of the Kit Cat and I have a continuing saga of the blue Kit Cat with the rhinestones....
A month or so ago, I had to change the batteries in my dearest gift, my blue rhinestone covered Kit Cat.
As the batteries came out, so did the prongs that keep the batteries in place.
To the say the least, I was devasated.
"It's only a clock", my 16 year old son said...as I paced around the house a total wreck.
I cried over this clock like you would not believe.
I e-mailed the customer service and the nicest guy answered me...David.
David and I became good friends and I am sure in the end he thought I was a clock freak!
The blue rhinestone clock was discontinued and I couldn't get another one, but I could have my pick....
I am color blind, blue and black are "good" color for me to see, but I was upset that my blue clock had to go to "heaven" and my son thought I needed to be in the loony bin!
I decided on the black one, just like the one I remembered from my childhood.
He came, he was broken!
Can I say....upset!
David in customer service couldn't have been nicer.
He e-mailed with me while I was waiting for my replacement clock and while I was waiting for the replacement's replacement.
Should anyone ever need customer service, this is the place.
I now have my new black and white Kit Cat and I must say, as much I didn't want to change colors, he is really great and has become what I look at each day.
Thank you for being so kind to me and for letting me tell Chapter 2 of my Kit Cat experience.

Could not get the tail and eyes to go so I called customer support. David called and gave me some tips. I fooled around with different levels and it works perfectley now. I love it!
Thanks so much,
Dolly
