Dear Fan Club Members,
Kit-Cat's big 75th Anniversary is approaching. And as I
mentioned in last months newsletter, we have designed a
very special Kit-Cat that I know you all will love. This
is a very exciting time for us. Kit-cat has been such a
huge presence in many lives throughout these 75 years.
We receive tons of letters with people’s outpour of love
and how a single clock has been a bright spot in their
lives. So we have decided to extend our previous
special. Please see details below.
Where has the time gone? I feel like I was just taking
my daughter trick-or-treating and now all my Halloween
decorations are put away until next year. The leaves are
still beautiful, but now have fallen and covered my
yard. No matter how many times we rake, the very next
day they are all over everything again. Of course, my
husband and I get frustrated, but not my daughter. There
is not a single pile of leaves she has not jumped on.
For us, the leaves are the last of any color on our
trees that we will see for months. The weather is
starting to change and soon we will see snow instead of
flowers. I grew up in sunny California, so I’m used to
the bright colors in my garden year round. It took me
awhile to get use to the dreary days of winter, with the
snow and the lack of color in the garden, but I have
come to realize this isn’t what is important. My family
and friends are the most important things to me and it’s
not about where I live or what I do, but that I have
them in my life.
So that brings us to the next holiday, Thanksgiving. I
enjoy this day so much because it kicks off the holiday
season. It is a day that I gather with family and
friends and my home becomes the center of all the
festivities. It warms my heart so much that day to smell
all the wonderful food, hear all the laughter and see
all the smiles. This is a day to celebrate our many
blessings and to give thanks for all we have in our
lives.
I want you all to think about what you are most thankful
for. If it happens to be family and friends, don’t wait
till Thanksgiving to tell them. Pick up the phone, send
a note or walk next door and tell them. Happy
Thanksgiving, enjoy and try not to eat too much!
Keep smiling,
Julie Young
