Fall is here and the leaves are changing color and the
nights are getting cooler. Baseball playoffs just ended
and football season is in full swing. My husband is in
heaven with all of these sports going on at once. Since
this is one of our favorite times of year we have always
tried to do something new and exciting together. So this
year we decided to have our very own football block
party.
We invited all of our neighbors, family and friends. We
set up a bunch of tables and chairs in our backyard and
had a projector showing the game on the back of our
house.
Everyone we invited brought someone else so we had at
least ninety people and half of them I have never seen
before. The party was a huge success and everyone had a
ton of fun.
This party was so much fun because the people that
showed up were not all football fans, but people that
were there to have fun and meet new people. That was one
of the reasons we had this party was to meet new people
and get to know our neighbors better. So I encourage all
of you to get out there and try something new that will
help you meet new people as well as have some fun.

Kit-Cat Moment – My first Kit-cat clock was a battery
powered. I lost it when I was moving from Colorado to
Nevada. A couple of months later I received a package in
the mail and it was my classic black Kit-Cat. The note
on the box was from a man that found the package lying
in a parking lot in Grand Junction, Colorado. Luckily
for me, my information was on the box and a kind person
found it.
I absolutely love cats. Sadly I have allergic reactions
when near them. I grow catnip in my garden to attract
the little visitors so I can at least
watch them play in my yard. My Kit-Cat clock is my only
"indoor" cat. He doesn't cause me to sneeze or give me
scratchy throat and eyes!
