Dear Friends of the Kit-Cat Clock Family,
As 2012 approaches, so does Kit-Cat® Clock’s 80th Birthday! The classic American-Made clock has been bringing smiles to people’s faces since 1932 and we thought “What better way to celebrate the big 8-0 t han to have a big New Years celebration?” That’s why we are very excited to announce that Kit-Cat® Clock will have its very own parade float in the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade® in Pasadena, CA!
The 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade® will take place on Monday, January 2nd, 2012 according to the Tournament of Roses’ “Never on a Sunday” tradition. The theme of this year’s parade is “Just Imagine…” and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate Kit-Cat’s® 80th Anniversary on such a grand stage as the Rose Parade®!
In the months leading up to the Rose Parade® on our Facebook and Twitter pages, we will be holding Rose Parade® themed contests (Grand prize of being selected as a rider on the Kit-Cat® Rose Float in front of over 50 MILLION people), giving online store discounts, and celebrating Kit-Cat’s® 80th Anniversary by selling an 80th Anniversary/Rose Float Limited Edition Kit-Cat® Clock! We thought we’d seen it all, but the loyalty of Kit Cat’s fans continues to surprise us after 79 years!
“Hello! My name is Allison, and I am absolutely in love with Kit Cat clocks! Most recently, I found the black Kit Cat Classic at a flea market, and he hangs in my bathroom. My love for the clock started when I was a kid, and saw him in Back to the Future. Now, at 29, I decided it was time to show my love permanently, and get him tattooed on my left leg. His time on the tattoo is set for the time I was born.”

Check out a few pictures from a 7th grader, Zack, who is our reigning “biggest fan”!
The pictures are of him and the school project he did that got an A+ grade. It’s all about the Kit Cat clock and its history. He’s even wearing a Kit Cat sweatshirt.
He said he really loves the clock, has several, and wants to collect more, even electric ones. He has a clock in his bedroom that keeps his brothers awake, they complain, and he tells them, “deal with it!”
